FOR QUITE A WHILE I HAVE HAD WHAT LOOKS LIKE LARGE BOILS WHICH ARE QUITE PAINFUL. WENT TO SEE MY DR AND HE SAID I HAD A STAPH INFECTION. MY HEART SANK I ASKED MRSA HE SAID MAYBE. WELL HE CALLED YESTERDAY AND CONFIRMED MRSA ACTED LIKE IT WAS NOTHING JUST FINISH ANTIBIOTICS. JUST 2 YEARS AGO I WATCHED AS MRSA SLOWLY KILLED MY DAD AND THERE WAS NOTHING ANY1 COULD DO. HE WENT FROM A 200 POUND MAN TO 90 POUNDS HE HAD HIS LEG AMPUTATED AND AND SEVERAL OTHER SURGERIES. AND THIS ALL STARTED THE SAME WAY I DONT KNOW WHAT TO BELEIVE. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Well first of all I am Viv I know how bad MRSA can be..Its hard..and as you well know can be deadly..
First of all you need a good ID doctor to check you out..if you don't have one..To many doctors act like this is no big deal and it is a very big deal.. What antibiotic did they put you on? Also did they give you bactroban for the boils.? Let me know if I can help any..I have had it over 4 yrs now.. Blessings be with you!

Readign these posts just send me into a psychological maltese.....it sounded like your father had internal MRSA bacteria, HA-MRSA. An amputation from MRSA? Dear Christ. I caught CA-MRSA at a Disney SPA last year,it may or may no t be gone..I never had anytghig worse than one carbuncle and folticulitus...hopefully I beat it or it never gets worse than what I've experienced...people reading these posts with MRSA should keep in mind that not al cases are as sever as this woman' s late father.

NO IT WAS NOT INTERNAL MRSA IT WAS A SKIN INFECTION ON TOP OF THE SKIN THAT LITERALLY ATE AWAY AT HIS LEG. THEY TOLD HIM THE SAME AS I WAS TOLD TAKE ANTIBIOTICS AND IT WILL GO AWAY. HE SUFFERED FOR 6 MONTHS. NEVER WENT INTERNAL THAT WHAT ALL THE SPECIALIST SAID. DONT ASSUME ANYTHING THIS IS NOT A CONDITION TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY. IF THE TRUTH BOTHERS YOU THEN DONT READ

My husbands ID doctor said it is very rare for CA-MRSA to go inside the body but it can happen. It is important to get boils lanced asap to avoid the chance it it getting in the bloodstream and into organs.
