I have a rare disease called Hyper IGE and 13 mrsa outbreaks since Oct '07. I stopped smoking 18 days ago, been clean n sober for 7+ months, have stopped the caffeine 9 days ago. I try to walk 3+ miles a day when I feel alright. I been slowly eating less and better. I'm new here and would appreciate some feedback, maybe even start some friendships. Thanks Ross

Sounds like you are headed in the right direction Ross..It is important to help build your immune system up but the thing of it ever outbreak you have and they have to give you antibiotics it helps to break down your immune system..Mine is shot due to all that I have been on the past several years with this..I wish you luck my friend..and You have one Friend Here..ME..
God Bless You, Alvi

Cultural will booste the immune system. Walmart carries it. You may have to have them order it but it don't cost and its there in two days. Its the good bacteria in your intestineswhich is what antibotics kill off and how you end uo with no immunity. Its like a dollar a pill but it does its job.
and for them boils try maken a paste out of baken soda and apple cider vinigar and rubbing it on the boil let it set over night and in the morning it will be open and draining.

Ross, congrats on quitting smoking! :) (and remaining sober)
I also gave up substances a while back and ... I quit smoking 23 days ago. (today is day 23). I had tried to nicotine patch (way) more than once and I'd just end up smoking w/ it on (haha).. anyways I'm on chantix now and it really has helped me. The first day quit I really couldn't even tell I had quit (compared to usually when I would leave a trail of bodies)... anyways keep it up. It's well worth it. :) Boosting your immune system.... I'd focus on nutrition (whole foods, fresh veggies being the main focus... there are also specific foods that are good for your immune system), and excercize, getting enough sleep, dealing with stress!! (for me that is a major one)... and I take zinc, echinacea, allicin garlic (regular garlic does not work... at all, obviously in food it does), ... I also have taken for a while fish oil, psycillim husks, vit c, vit e, B Complex.... anyways though I'd focus first on diet and only after that supplements. But the quitting smoking will defiantly help!

Thanks gummystiper, Now I'll have 8 months no smoking in 10days. I am so fat now. Maybe I can go back to smoking crack and ice to get my boyish figure back. Nah.
