  • To Know Me is to Love Me! ....

    Sunday, June 1, 2008 | A Poem/Artistic story

Please don't judge me only for who I am now.
A person who is sick and doesn't do much.
Please know that I did have a life once.
That I did love living life and had many goals and dreams.
    Just like you.
Please know that I used to be very active.
I used to love to go in-line skating.
That I used to LOVE to dance
and did it as often as I could!
I even took lessons...line dancing, swing danci...

  • THE MAGIC SMILE

    Saturday, July 5, 2008 | A Poem/Artistic story

    THE MAGIC SMILE
THE SMILE YOU SEE UPON MY FACE
    DOES NOT ERASE
    MY PAIN
    THE SMILE IS THERE
    SO YOU WILL BE
    MORE COMFORTABLE
    WITH ME
    THE SMILE IS THERE
    TO PROTECT ME
    FROM UNKIND WORDS
    AND THOUGHTS THAT MAY BE
    THE SMILE IS THERE
    SO I WILL NOT HAVE
    TO EXPLAIN
    THE PAIN
    THE SMILE WILL HELP
    PREVENT
    THE MOOD FROM CHANGING
    TO GLOOM
    AND DOOM
    THE SMILE IS THERE
    TO MAKE ME BLEND IN
    AND FEEL
    MORE "N...

  • A Bit of Magic

    Thursday, December 11, 2008 | A Poem/Artistic story

Right after Thanksgiving in the early 1950s, my hometown became magical. It became filled with the magic of Christmas. It was everywhere! Downtown,,uptown,,all over town. There was a special place on a street just over from main street. An ordinary place most of the year, but at Christmas, the ordinary bike shop was one of the favorite places for children. Every night there was a line of cars wai...

    Wednesday, December 17, 2008 | A Poem/Artistic story

One of the fun things we did as kids at Christmastime was make apple Santas.  What's an apple Santa, you ask?  It's a Santa made with an apple.  Clever, huh?  What will we need?
1 big red delicious Christmas apple
    Some marshmallows,,,the big ones
    Whole cloves
    Fresh cranberries
    Cotton,,,not the balls,,the rolled kind
    Red food coloring
    Toothpicks
A few raisins, if you're adv...

  • Song: MRSA

    Monday, May 25, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

    My husband wrote this song.
    MRSA
Look at all the scars reminds me of the stars
Tired all the time living is my crime
Never feeling fine almost out of time
    Now it's spreading all around
    No cure can be found
Not much time left for me
Maybe enough to make you see
I wish they had let me die
With swollen face and sealed shut eye
Makes me want to curl and cry
I guess I'll give another try
    Wridled with the e...

    Monday, June 1, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

was sent this poem and thought I;de share it with all my dear friends...
    IN GOD'S HANDS . . .
    Rest in peace, my children,
    Do not be gripped with fear;
For I, your God, am with you,
And I shall dry your tears.
For I will hold you closely,
    Every woman, child or man;
Just look to Me, when you need peace,
You're in the palm of My hand.
Tho' the world seems to be falling,
And held in the grip of fea...

  • Hurt Me

    Tuesday, September 8, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

    Oh God
    hurt me.
    Rip me away.
    Tear my soul
    from my still life.
    Scare my humanity
    away.
    Bleed my brains
    and sear my flesh.
    Break me down
    make me bleed
    make me cry
    make me seethe.
    Call me loser
    pathetic
    freak.
    Beat me softly
    smack me.
    Oh God,
    hurt me.

  • Ayyyeeee

    Sunday, October 11, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

Woke this morn, with a disease, perhaps airborne. It's MRSA. On the lower left gut. Not outta site on me butt, but in plain site on my gut. Better than April, when it was on my nuts. The pain is a drain. I crave the insane.  The sleepy comfort of opiates. So be it. Boil number 47. Maybe the one that sends me to Heaven. The End
