I'm scared ... where r the success stories? Do any meth addicts stay clean? My daughter had been addicted to meth for two years, she has now been clean for ten weeks. It has been an emotionally, mentally and physically exhausting ten weeks. At the moment she is in a mental hospital as a result of a prescription drug overdose. It is her fifth overdose in ten weeks ... it is slowing killing her, and her family & friends. She will be in hospital for a minimum of two weeks. I'm hopeful but I'm not fooled easily or stupid. After reading some of the stories here im not so hopeful, I feel terrified for my girl, overwhelmed, depressed, sad and alone. Please let me know if you know someone who has truly beaten it. I need to know that this soul destroying addiction can be beaten? Love and peace to you all

" Unfortunately, addiction is not a curable disease... You are never "cured", it can only be managed. I was clean for 9 yrs when I relapsed. I know that the more tools you have and the more support you have the better your odds... I am not the same person I was that relapsed 9 months ago. I relapsed recently, but I know it is not the end of the world. I just have to pick myself up and keep moving, one day at a time. "
