Hi, my name is Beth and my 20 year old son has been having big problems with meth for 2+ years. He went to treatment at the Meadows in Wickenbburg Az. when he was 18. After 6 months sobriety he relapsed. At that time he was into any type of drug available to him. Last November he went to Pride Institute in Minneapolis for treatment. He has lived in 2 sober house situations in Minneapolis since then. He did not get a job while living at the first house and was told to leave. After staying with a friend for a while he moved into a sober apartment building. That lasted about 2 mos and and was evicted. He had relapsed and continued to use heavily. He has been injecting meth. He checked into Fairview hospital at University of Minnesota for stabilization. He was hallucinating and extremely paranoid. My question to you is where can he get the best treatment for meth addiction? I know he has to really want it for any program to be successful. I live in Texas. At this point I do not feel it would be good for him to be at home. The rest of the family has a difficult time dealing with his ups and downs. It is very painful for all who love him. Please give me suggestions for good treatment for my son.

In Minnesota there is a wonderful treatment place called Hazelton, It's not cheap, but very effective. Hazelton is one of the best in the US I have read. My best friend went to Hazelton 6 years ago, she has been clean since.. Something you could look into. I know it is in the twin cities. Thinking of you and your son
