I am currently still working and dont want to lose everything i have worked for just to go into a 30 day program that might not work. I would like outpatient treatment and stay local. My location is in a city where all treatment centers take only the state insuranc or self pay. any suggestions?

I think out patient is dicey if you are a meth addict. Think of it this way. So what if you loose your job? There are always others. Better than loosing your life.Get in the longest term treatment you can. 30 days is not enough unless you have just played around with meth. Do WHATEVER you have to in order to save your life.
Staying local is risky too. Your buddies will love to undermine you and take you down. Seen my daughter try all of the above and it doesn't work. Unless you are some miraculous exception. Look at churches. Some have wonderful programs that don't cost too much money. You know deep down in your heart of heart what you need. Hoping you the very best.

well said balibird....meth addiction isn't something you can take lightly....I had to move 30 miles away and cut ALL ties with the people i thought were my friends....and if you think loosing your job is the only thing you will be loosing...you are mistaken... and if you continue to do meth...you will lose your job anyway. there is no such thing as a functional tweeker....it always goes down hill.

Ok, some of these outpatient places will let you pay it out. Try calling your local NA chapter they may know were this is done. I know how frustrated you must be, to want help and because of $$ can't get it. Or, this is a lil extreme, but if you could get court appointed outpatient some how. Whatever you do, you need to be properly detoxed, if you have to resort to doing this on your own, it can be done, but it will take will power. You will have to assess your useage now, and formulate a plan to taper off and definately use AA or NA meetings.
REMEMBER, WERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY!
