My B/F brought meth into our home around June 2008 and starting using without my knowledge. When i found out, I HATED THAT DRUG AND TOLD HIM TO STOP. He agreed but time and time again i figured out that he used. well, I fell into temptation because i wanted to know what was so good about Meth that would make my b/f of 8 years lie to me time and time again! We both partied and used excessively for 8 months. we did about $35-$40 K worth of meth in those 8 months. Things got crazy, huge fights,, Cops involved and i finally had left in early Feb. One of us would either have gone to jail or end up dead.
I'M ABOUT TO LOOSE EVERYTHING THAT I WORKED SO HARD FOR AND ALSO LOOSE MY MIND! Our beautiful home is close to foreclosure, i took a leave of absence from work for 2 months to go through rehab,and i plan on returning this week. My Grandfather who is my super hero died in Nov. and i have yet to grieve. I CAN'T STOP USING! no one every knows that i'm on it. i can cover it up so well. Posted on 04/28/09, 09:04 am |

i know what the right things to do are....but i have so much sadness and anger inside of me. i've gone through therapy and my psychiatrist was great, but all the tools he gave me to use, went right now the door.

You are not alone.You've been through rehab but you also need to talk it out with other addicts in recovery.Get a support group.Get a sponser.There is help for you out there anonymously.Try other forms of therapy.Don't give up on yourself.You've relasped but there is no shame in that.You know how to be sober.I'm so sorry about your Grandfather.Despite what you're going through...he loved you.Remember that.He would want you to be at peace.

Its a Hard road..Im only 22 and did it for 6 years lost all my friendships and everything I know that if you put your mind to it that you will be able to stop using!! Have you thought of Breaking up with your boyfriend? Its a bad memorie and makes you want to do it more? Just a thought dont take it to heart!! METH is not worth loosing everything you have Hun!! Keep a strong mind start going to NA AND AA MEETINGS and Get a GOOD SUPPORT GROUP!!!

Rationalization, love, well wishes, broken promises, lying, cheating, and stealing all will not help an addict seek sobriety.
As a matter of fact, everything that comes out of an addicts mouth is a lie. Keep yourself clean and sober and that is about the best you can do.
