for school we are doing a project on meth addiction and using needles for injection. my group wanted to get a needle as part of our presentation...does anyone know if you can get them at like drug stores like shoppers drug mart?

You should be able to get them at the drug store. However, do you know anyone who is a diabetic(juvenile diabetes)?
Then, throw them away and never look back.

Just get a fake one, syringes are insane.You may accidentally poke yourself in the eye or something. I am surprised your teacher will let you bring one in, she may send you to the principles office, not everyone can walk around with a syringe, the authoriies sometimes frown upon it. Be careful.As far as I know you can't buy them out here, unless you are diabetic or have some other need for them for medical purposes only, so make one that looks real.

you can't buy them in a drug store without a prescription, at least in my state in the US. but that didn't stop me...
i went into the pharmacy and told the pharmacist that i needed one for my mom. i told him the exact guage and size i needed so that he'd believe me. he said he wouldn't sell me a box, but he was nice and just gave me a free one to hold "us" over. if that doesn't work for you, you can buy them online (legally in the US), but you can't buy just one, you'll have to buy a box. they're cheap ($10 USD), but it's still trouble just for a school project. http://hocks.com/Merchant5/merchan... maybe you can go to a pharmacy and just be honest. tell them you only need it for a school project. tell them that they can bend the needle back and forth until it falls off. that way, they know you can't use it. if they're as nice as the people in louisiana, you'll get your syringe. :)

advice from a recovered addict of many things, and going through hell with a current addict;
dont bring one. dont even try. show a picture. everyone knows what they are. on the odd chance you're trying to get clean ones to use; in CA, and AR you can go to a pharmacy and get them, I don't know where you are but just ask for insulin syringes.
