Advice:
Dealing with TRIGGERs

I've been a Meth Addict since i was 19, I've been struggling with staying sober for about three years now. I just turned 27 and I'm sick of the drug. I'm determined to stay sober this time (52 days SOBER) but lately I've been dealing with alot of triggers. Whenever stressful situations come up I used to run to meth just to deal with everything. But I'm sick of doing that. What advise can you give me?

" OMG!! Im on day 43 and I've started feeling the same triggers but just like you I'm determined to stay sober. Have you tried prayer? Believe it or not I was really lost and on the down low until i decided to ask God for help it did'nt happen right away but it did happen. My greatess fear was what i call the 'fog' I woke up one morning an i was normal, happy and no fog. Prayer worked for me. I'm now praying fo help with the triggers it also helps to talk alot. "

" Thanks for your support it really helps alot. No I've never been to NA, but mostly because I have a 7 yr old and she is full of questions and I don't wanna lie to her when she asked where I was or the usual who what where when WHY.
I just got evicted and we are staying with my Aunt (she is a HUGE trigger) because I stayed with her back when I was 19 in college and that's when I first tried Meth she had already been addicted for a while, but i never knew till some guy gave me some (I thought it was coke which i had already tried) from then on we used together. She claims to be clean but I try not to worry about anyone elses sobriety but mine. That all I can handle for the moment.
Anywayz
I'm trying real hard to be strong and to sets some new goals and try to reach them, It helps to focus on positive things and STAY AWAY from the negative.
I haven't tried prayer but that sounds like a good idea, I grew up going to church at least 3 times a week but as I got older I felt forced to go so i stopped going. I just don't wanna be one of those holier than tho people. Idk how I would start ? "
