Chemo Side Effects

My daughter is 19 and was diagnosed 6 months ago with peritoneal mesothelioma. She has undergone two surgeries and two rounds of intraperitoneal chemo. She has just started her first round of IV chemo on Jan 7, 2010. We have been to the chemo center every day since. She's been back twice for fluids because she's so dehydrated from nausea/vomiting. She had to go to the hospital for a transfusion. Her hair is starting to fall out. Does anyone have any suggestions to offer that I can help her through any of these side effects? Any suggestions will be tremendously appreciated - thanks!

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. The national cancer institute actually has a good page on managing chemotherapy side effects:
http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/... Another good webpage for side effects is: http://chemocare.com/chemotherapy/s... Hi, so sorry to hear about you daughter. My mum was diagnosed with a stage 4, and was given a 6month survival by undergoing chemo. So she refused chemo and went strictly herbal and lived for a good 6 years. Stuff like wheat grass, fresh apple juice (not the packed stuff) and herbal tea with honey are a huge help. You might want to add these to her diet. Hope she feels better :)
