My dad had mesothelioma in his lung (2 years ago)that seem to be in remission. However, we have been informed recently that it spread to his abdoman lining and it seem that the Alimta is not helping any more. We were basically told that there is not much they can do any more and we must prepare for a difficult road ahead. I ordered the book 100 questions and Answers on Mesothelioma and A story worth telling (about a woman's fight against Mesothelioma. She passed away). Any other suggestions on stuff to read? I'm trying to get some insight on what lies ahead for him. I also have many unanswered questions e.g. must he continue with chemo as this will prolong his life and slow down the spreading of the cancer? Am I understanding correctly that there is no cure but only treatments to slow the process down? Looking forward to some support
