I live in North Carolina, in Fayetteville and I'd like to ask if anyone knows of any specialists in this area. I have just been diagnosed and don't know the first thing to do . I am also very worried and scared.
Thanks for any help and support. Steve Posted on 04/11/09, 02:04 pm |

go online and find the best hospitals and docs for this disease. When my husband was sick Dr. Sugarbaker out of Boston was the leading expert... he was in Boston.
I found many good things out on the internet. Be careful of who is writing it though, ck with your doc's for good websites. The nurses are usually a wealth of information

Hi Steve,
I am so sorry you were diagnosed with mesothelioma. I just read your posting, even though I can see you posted a while ago. If you would still like to talk to someone about mesothelioma specialists, I would suggest contacting Mary Hesdorffer, the nurse practitioner for the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF). You can speak to her for free by calling the MARF number at 877 END MESO (877 363 6376). Good luck.
