Hi, I'm Margaret and my adopted daughter now 12 1/2 is developmentally disabled and has FAS. I got her when she was an infant
and I was married. I'm a single older mom now and have 3 grown birth- kids and a grandson, none local. I homeschool my DD through a charter school and get some respite to workout at Curves and do errands but I'm pretty much always w/ her... as long as my health holds up. We go to a metaphysical church that accepts her and she has been in Girl Scouts since kinder. She reads second grade level, prints, verbal like a 6 yr old, is a great dancer, loves novelty, and is fun most of the time. I do feel lonely for adult interaction sometimes. We take fish oil and she takes choline, L-Theanine and sometimes melatonin for sleep.I'm into organic and natural foods mostly. I used soymilk for menopause, neigher of us do meds.
