Hi, I am new to this discussion but have been on DS for sometime. I am always looking for siblings taking care of siblings. I retired at 55 so I could care for my sister and my aging parents. I was a special education teacher. My sister was of course my biggest influence. I look forward to getting to know as many of you as possible. Hugs and more hugs, Donna

I first of all applaud you because I know how hard this has been for you. I know that you may feel life is unfair sometimes. Look forward to chatting. "

" DMNF, I just recently found your post but see that it's been a while since you've posted. I hope and pray that all is well with you and yours? I am 49 and the sibling of a brother who is in his late forties as well, and is mentally challenged. I am 'still' trying to help him (with God's help of course) have 'some sort' of independence, because besides this I'm helping to 'train' (raise) my nephew who has Aspergers, and keep an eye on my mom who's 78 (but thank God still able to get around on her own).
My heart really goes out to you, and I know exactly where you're coming from. If possible, can you please drop us a line to let us know that all is well? We're praying and pulling for you. Take care and God bless. "
