Okay, here's what' working for me so far:
1)Vitamin regime:(taken with food)MORNING- Gentle Iron 28mg, Balanced B-100 complex, & Flaxseed oil. NOON/AFTERNOON- Calcium 1000mg/Vit. D 100 IU and Magnesium 250 mg. EVENING - Women's One-A-Day 50+ Advantage & Vit E 400. FOR GASTROINTESTINAL DISTRESS: Crystallized Ginger Chunks - works a lot quicker than ginger tea and you can carry them with you and chew on them whenever necessary. FOR AVOIDING DEPRESSION: Lots of LIGHT! Go outside and bask, or turn on all the lamps around you. Surround yourself with MUSIC, BRIGHT COLORS, and people who love you (or go visit this site). PAMPER yourself - do whatever it takes: massages, manicures, shopping, and/or do whatever makes you happy, and do it WITHOUT GUILT! (I'm not saying that you should deplete your finances buying $300 shoes, but do let yourself DO something for yourself- leave cleaning the floor for later and start some fun project, however pointless, because if it makes you feel better, then it's not pointless). But when you need to cry, do it. Get it out and over with, however long it takes. At some point, it'll stop, and you'll be exhausted, but then you can pick yourself up and deal with life (I've often spent two or three days bawling, stopping only to make dinner and send the little one to bed then getting on this website). Now this is my plan. Right now, I'm feeling quite Normal and grounded, so it's easy to say all this. I'll let you all know how this works when I have a Bad Spell. (The supplement regime has definitely given me more energy, although I still need a daily 1-hour nap.) For the record, I'm also on the Patch (Vivelle Dot), which I put on at the first signs of anxiety and/or hot flashes. Good luck to you all! |
