" sorry I don't know either, at the beginning of this road myself. when I first mentioned my symptoms at my yearly GYN last year, the dr. said it sounded like perimenopause and she ruled out other possibilities (thyroid, etc?) I really hope you get your answers, I'm totally lost. "

" just keep demanding solutions from your doctor. Or maybe find a new doctor or someone who believes in something other than the traditional methods of treatment. No one should have to feel the way you feel. I know I was that person for 18 yrs. Keep researching and asking like I finally did. If you need to take care of your heavy bleeding look into ablation surgery. spelling may be wrong. That will help with the heavy bleeding. The only one who can help you is you. Keep asking, reading and research. "

" Hi Cib:
I had a fibroid resection and ablation to help with the bleeding thing. I also tried the more natural approach of black cohosh, etc. and finally ended up on bioidentical (plant based) hormones. Have you had your hormones tested? I go to a woman endocrinologist that monitors my hormones, including thyroid. I'm 55, so I am supposed to be post menopausal. I also had horrible hot flashes during the day and insomnia. My hormones regulate me and I wouldn't be without them.
Whatever you do, DON'T let your doctor make light of this misery. Find a good gyno and start there.
Good luck,
JK "

" After a lot of time and research and demanding answers I was not getting from my Dr. I found someone to put me on Bio Identicals. After testing my hormone levels which had really tanked I know knew why I felt terrible. I even went so far as to have a heart monitor for 24 hours but it was just anxiety. Off the anti depressants that were prescribed for hormonal reason. (which did not do a thing ) No more night sweats, hot flashing, bitching, anxiety and do not feel as rushed. I am returning to myself. I even have regained the pep that I used to have. It may not be for everyone but It is heaven sent for me! "
