I had night sweats and couldn't hold still, looking for the coldest part of the sheets.

Racing heart

Anxious thinking (probably didn't help the heart rate).

Sick tummy

All equal a restless night. My poor husband.

Bonus- I also have really bad acne and have gained weight.

What are your sypmptoms and how do you deal with them?

" The one thing I notice the most is the hot flashes. I live in the desert southwest of the US, so it's doubly bad. I also have memory problems. They say memory is the second thing to go. I forget what the first thing was. LOL.

If you are that miserable, try talking to your gyn. When I first started having problems, I tried hormone replacement, and that helped me over the worst of it.

I hope you find some relief.

Annie "

" Rainflowers, I like your idea of setting small goals. I tend to look at the big picture and get depressed. (My messy home that is). With the limitations of multiple sclerosis, it just gets overwhelming.

small goals, that's the ticket. A sense of accomplishment even in the small things should keep me going. And with God's help!
Thanks.xo "

" Yes Aimless.......the big picture is way overwhelming! ..On the days I feel really bad I set only 2 goals maybe...like shower and make meals....on a better day I might go to the store and clean one of the bathrooms.
I just cant do everything like I used to..! And thats ok.
I hope everyone is feeling ok today and take it easy on yourselves too..hugs xxxx "

" Hadn't gotten any posts in my email box for about 2 weeks. Thought the website might have gotten that virus that went around a week or so ago. So am a little behind responding.

Symptoms - at first when go to bed - am real cold (tempted to put winter blanket on bed - but during night wake up very hot. Play that musical "kick the sheets off / after awhile put them back on.. repeat." Many nights I just get up and wait an hr so the bed can cool down as I sit near a AC vent with somethng cold to drink then go back to bed. Then about an hr later - must get up to pee. LOL Have also developed restless leg syndrome, also insomnia. Of course can finally get back to sleeep between 4:30-5:00 just as the alarm goes off at 5:10. Husband sleeps through it all like a baby. Don't wear wedding ring at night for there have been times I have gotten so pissed off in my semi-sleep that hubby can sleep thru the night like a rock that I have taken ring off and took a week to find it hidden in the bed sheets LOL Memory problems - but I think that comes with "old age" or so I've heard.

I try to catch up on sleep on Saturday with little catnaps and of course that's when every one calls and they think I stay in bed all day. I just grin and bare it. Part of being a female ad having an empty nest (except for the doggie who has become my baby boy and is more spoiled then my kids ever were. "

" Hi Polarbaby - long time no see! I don't have restless leg syndrome but I've read that magnesium helps. And they say that most people don't get enough magnesium as it is so it would seem safe to take it. I personally take it with calcium for bone health. "

" restless leg syndrome can be caused by low iron !!! Also lack of folate. That is what mine was caused by.
I got my diet under control now and it went away totally. "
