" From everything I've read and researched, there's NO link between cervical cancer and HRT. However, there IS a link between endometrial (uterine) cancer and taking unopposed estrogen (estrogen without a progestin or progesterone). A very low dose of estrogen for a short period of time usually isn't a problem but higher doses (without a progestin) over long periods can proliferate the uterine lining. Periodic ultrasounds can be done to check uterine lining for thickness (proliferation). "
