muscle ache and fatigue

Okay, so off and on I've had the above, but here lately it's an every day thing. My muscles ache like I've been out in the yard working all day or something and all i've done is get out of bed and go to work.
By the time I get home I'm as wrung out as a dishcloth as my mamma used to say.
I work 630a-330p and get in bed about 900-1000 every night. I'm getting as much sleep as I've ever gotten.
I know this is a s/s of meno, but I'm tired of being tired.
Thanks.
Faye

" If possible, I would see a Dr about this, maybe get your thyroid levels checked etc. Muscle aches and fatigue can be a symptom of low thyroid. Also, fluctuating hormones can cause it, just the ups and downs that need constant adjustment. It is tiring just to think about it...

I stopped HT awhile back and have noticed more bouts of fatigue. It has been bothersome, and have thought about just taking a small amount of estrogen to get some zest. I hate to think that this might be my new normal, yet older Fs complain of lack of energy.

I am a runner, once ran 5-6 miles regularly, but now I am down to 3. And it takes longer to recover. On HT, I was able to exercise as I had once done, but the past couple of weeks, I only do a minimal amount. But am vowing to do better. Some of it is my own fault, I overscheduled this week and did not leave myself any free time, but that isn't Menopause, that is me...

Also, try to keep to a good diet. Raw vegs seem to make me feel better half an hour after I eat them, particularly broccoli and greens. Not sure why, maybe just my imagination....DaisyC "

" Are you taking any vitamins? Specially vitamin D is important. I started taking vit. D and my pains are so much less. Ask your doctor to run some test, specially vit. d levels and also thyroid. "

" I had crippling fatigue. Doctor checked my thyroid and increased my dose. Checked everything related to my adrenals and my DHEA and Cortisol were very low. Vitamin D was also very low. Went on 1 mg. estrogen to 100 mg progesterone bio cream 2 x day for a total of 2 mg estrogen and 200 mg progesterone. Fatigue is gone. I know how crippling the fatigue can be. Best Wishes! Judy "
