" My hair is dry on the bottom half and oily on the top, due to my now thinning hair! When does the torture end??? I have found that olive oil is an around miracle worker for me. Good for so many things. I use it on the dry areas 3-4 nites a week. "

" Like SophieT said, olive oil is great. A tsp orally is good too. I peroxide my hair, so I have to really work on it not being a bale of hay. I take Vit E, Primrose oil, and Flaxseed...for the perimeno. It helps the hair some, but even makes my skin feel and look smoother. But about the perimeno symptoms, I dunno. ha. "

" That is the one thing that is NOT dry for me. Stimulate your scalp by massaging it with your fingertips, brush it well to distribute what oil is in the scalp goes into the hair. Use shampoos designed for dry scalps and hair. I see the suggestion of olive oil, but I think the stuff stinks. Try using organic coconut oil, maybe use it on the hair at night then shampoo it out the next day. I wish I had more suggestions. Can you go see a dermatologist? Or maybe even your own dr or ob/gyn can give you some help. "

" I had dry hair before menopause... And I found this great stuff that is made for women of color... But it works really well on caucation hair... It's called Scurl and spray it in your hair right after you towel dry it... And just leave it... Don't use a hair dryer or any other hot heat and it will dry nicely ... I hope this helps "
