I feel like I am on a emotional roller coaster which doesn't help my marriage. I was on Lexapro and was changed to Cymbalta 60mg. The only thing I feel the Cymbalta helps is with my hot flashes. My mind feels like its continusly in a state of confussion along with increased memory loss. Is there any advise that anyone can give me before things get any worst?

" I've been on anti-depressants for years. I've noticed that lately (since my menopause symptoms have kicked up a notch) that anxiety has crept in to the mix. How fun. For a while I used a topical progesterone cream that really helped with the night sweats, sleeping and hot flashes. I don't seem to need that anymore since I cut out diet soda and added soy to my diet. Find a menopause specialist who can help manage your symptoms. http://www.menopause.org/Portals/0... "

" Hi Kim
Me again, Japanese & Chinese women seem to go thro the menopause with very little problems, mainly cos their diet is so soya enriched. Meant to say in my post to you, almost certainly your following in your mother's footsteps, that was one of the questions Dr asked me , what age was my mam when she went thro meno ?? so no, you are not losing the plot almost certainly going thro meno, all your symtoms are what I have, the panic attacks being the hardest to deal with, keep taking the soya, and read up on the magnet.

" I have those dam panic attacks too since I've been menopaused! I can't stand them! I hear you have to flow with the feelings. Not fight them. Not easy but I am learning. I get help on internet for panic attacks and all the scary syptoms. Friday I go see a shrink and that makes me even more nervous! "
