You know, my problems are nothing compared to the pain that everyone else seems to be going through. I should consider myself lucky that I don't deal with physical pain every day of my life. I have had my share of painful accidents and head injuries and such so I can be compassionate with being in a lot of pain, but I feel ashamed now for thinking that being mentally challeng...2 Recommendations1 Comment

Well the time has come for me to take care of old business so that I can have a life again. I am going to clean up all the old debt and not have to worry about collection calls so that my stomach won't be making flip flops and I will be able to wake up in the morning with no phone calls from "colection agencies" and such. I am enrolling in massage-therapy school!!!!!! I am totally excited. I ended up living with my dad's ex-girlfriend's family and they are so nice. The school is really close by. My life is on track!!

I found this poem in Cosmo about 25 years ago, while going through a ugly divorce with three small children. I actually cut it out and kept it until I found this book with it in it. I went to see Nick today and was trying to act happy so he could possibly enjoy the visit and he seemed like he wasn't there like he used to be. He used to be glad to see me but he was in physical therapy when I got there and I told the nurses that I didn't mind going to where he was instead of them calling him to come upstairs.
