What's with this, DS?

At the bottom left hand corner of my page is a big orange sign that says "Office" and next to it is says "Microsoft Office stories - Roll over to learn more".
Being the curious person I am, I rolled over it, and... A new page came up. At the top of the page it says: "Powered by MEEBO" Then it says: "This is James. James makes his own cheese at home. He ages them in his cheese cave, actually a small, dorm-size fridge, and he uses Office to manage the whole process (Excluding the eating.) Try it for free." -------- Well, good for James. But I personally find that orange box rather intrusive. It's one thing to have the Meebo bar that you can't make go away, but this orange thing has got to go. Posted on 11/06/09, 01:11 pm |

yep, .. started lately .. there is DS, DS advertisements, MEEBO, and lately MEEBO advertisements. The one you mention is coming from MEEBO.

I only had it a few days and I HATED it....it was always in the way and that other page was popping up constantly.
Then I installed "NoScripts" for firefox and it got rid of it, along with the chat bar....just what I wanted.

Thanks bobbi3 for the heads up. That meebo is driving me nuts. I could care less who is on line and I do not chat very well. I just sign off meebo and that settles that little intrusion. But what orange box are you talking about Chris?

Well, that explains it. I turned off my NoScript this morning. It was more of a pain than the adds. At least from my view.

While I find NoScripts a pain at times - especially when I forget to click on it when I go into a "new" site but being without the meebo bar and ads is worth that slight inconvenience.
And yes it would be great to be able to edit our own post - maybe until the next comment is posted?

The orange thing is still there and I swear it is growing bigger every day.
Is there any way (other than no-script) that we can remove this? And if this is removed, will there be something to take it's place?
