HI I'm a member of the Sex/Pornography Addiction Support group for people trying to overcome their demons, and it has been recently overtaken by porn spam and pests with sexually explicit profile pictures.
We need help, we have no CL. I have nominated for it once, but none were appointed. Please we need help, its completely ruined all requests for help, support and understanding from those trying to fight against the porn. I REALLY wish you had to pay $1 to join DS. Posted on 11/06/09, 06:11 am |

Please send PaulDS a pm w/the user IDs & links to the still open threads done by these people. You might contact the CL who closed some of the posts and ask to have the still open threads closed. Also submit them to
http://www.dailystrength.org/help/... and support@dailystrength.org Then click ignore which is found under each poster's user ID name.

That sounds more like a "report abuse" type problem. Just refer them specifically to the offensive posts.

I agree that sending the info to PaulDS will probably go unanswered. However, he & sharecare & the rest of the DS team (not just the techs) need to know when & how often this happens.
DS needs to be a safe place and it is THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to make it such. I suggest sending this info to everyone of the DS team members. This is a time to put the old squeeky wheel adage into play.

A big THANK YOU to Wandering Vet for your help!! Your time and effort was much appreciated. DS came and deleted everything in the last hour.
However the poor group has now been completely smashed. The trolls had gone back as 18 pages, and recked havoc on us. All old and new posts and discussions are now scattered from page one till page 18, with some posts being as old as 3 years. It took two days and the leader of the group claimed to be 15 years old. It will take a long time to get back to normal, and thats if they don't come back. Attention Paul or new owners, We NEED some CL's appointed in this group.......PLEASE!!!!!

Yes we had this on this board - though they didn't go back quite that far - a couple of times and it is real pain.
A couple of members went through and bumped up all the recent posts - well as many as they could and the board did return to normal programming, hard and boring job but without someone to stop it at the time it is the only way you can get it back. Hope that you can get back to normal soon.
