OK..anyone thats been here a bit know I have some "email alert" problems..............had them since the migration............made lots of posts, comments about them.............sent tons of "feedback forms"........get tons of canned replies..........same stuff......going on for months:(
I stopped adding "email me when others reply" to most posts.......... Anyway...the weird thing I notice and am not sure if I have mentioned.........after about midday on the weekends......the mail seems to work fine????????? Stays that way for a while on Saturday....and maybe even Sunday....................but then by Monday.............business as usual:(...........Nuffin....and when I do get something in the late afternoon..........its repetitive old stuff, multiple times......some thing 3+ weeks old. Just makes NO sense to me:( Just thought I would whine a bit............moving on now................have a good weekend:) Posted on 06/16/12, 07:54 pm |

I keep getting repeat email alerts of journals. It's like that line-Pete and Repeat were in a boat, Pete jumped out-who was left in the boat? Repeat....

Deb, nothing here lately is making sense.
Sorry you are still not getting alerts. When I was having that problem..............the last time they did show up in the hundreds so I stopped "watching" as well. But the funny thing (not really funny) was that the majority of them were duplicates..........50-100x's duplicates. Sending feedback forms are frustrating 'cause like you said - they are canned replies. I've not really noticed the times of day when things work fine............did you say work fine?? Bookworm, I keep getting repeat email alerts of journals too. Looks like ole Repeat is a pretty popular guy.
