I finally got my Medicare card, now how do I start using it? Shouldn't they have sent me some kind of instructions or something telling about how it all works?

" I have a deductible for part B, plus pay for it monthly. I still dont really get it. It seems whenever I call with a question I am left with just more questions. They have sent me info kinda, they had to tell me when they'd be deducting money for it etc. I'm hoping it will unfold it self to me,"smiles".
I wont have primary insurance after July and I need D but I dont understand that one either. A little panicky about it since I'm so lost with medicare.

Thanks for letting me vent a bit. Sorry I am no help.

(you can start using the card once you're eligible, just like any insurance card, and if you need more info, you can call them) If you had a deductible etc I would think they would have told you. It's probally not as difficult/overwelming as I make it.
Hugs,
Heather "

" The way it was explained to me, late may, after I'd applied and received my card I was covered. I'm not collecting SS so I guess I'll get a month, or some period, bill so I can pay for this. But truthfully, I don't know yet. "

" Well, I researched all the different options I could find. Sort of made up my mind on what I wanted to get. Called some broker that was going to explain everything to me to make shure I understood what I was getting. He made the PFFS plan sound alot better for me, so I signed up for it. Then I go look at what I'll have to pay for my monthly perscriptions for maintenance meds I'll be taking everyday for the rest of my life. . .the plan he talked me in to doesn't offer one of my meds. Dammit. . .Now What! Called him right back but he's already started his 4th of July weekend. I'm afraid by Monday it will already be chiseled in stone and I'm stuck until the next open season to change to what I want and need. Damn salesmen got their heads up their butts. There's no such thing as customer service. . .just sell Mel sell.
Cheers,
otrpu "
