Hi my name is Maureen and I'm new to DS. I just learned that my medicare D provider is not renewing its contract with SS in January 2011. I have to choose a new plan (currently on AARP United and recieving extra help) over the next month and have no idea about how to go about it. Does anyone know of a good catch all plan or how to go about choosing a plan. My social worker chose the first one for me and now I am on my own. Thanks for reading this and any help/comments.

" Go to www.medicare.gov and click on the Medicare Plan Finder. There you will find instructions on finding a Medicare Part D plan in your area. "

" I'm in the same boat, and thank you mike45 for something concrete. Last year I spent days on end printing different plans and thought I had it all, and squelched my concerns as to what the co pays for diagnostic imaging and even x ray's. Well, all I can say I am in financial limbo for all the mri's and xrays. I fell down the stairs and needed multiple x rays and I just got the bills for 279.00 and a separate one for 45.00 for the person that took the films. My phone keeps ringing from collection agencies wanting thier payment. My husband has basically been on disabilaty for the past year, and he lost his job. Please let me know how you do...I had AARP.
