My doctor has been telling me this for a while.He says he just doesn't know what's wrong with me and neither does my neurologist.Wonder what these people get paid for?

Hi Im so sorry its not nice when you dont know whats wrong..Ten years to find out what I have and the thing is it just takes a simple blood test...At first I was so annoyed ten years of being told stress its this its that...But my conditon does do strange things it mimicks signs of someone with stress which alot of things so sigh...I am with you some in the medical profession should not be in it but there are some good ones who do have empathy and will fight my doctor once I found him which was like finding a needle in a haystack stood up against my Encro and Im impressed he was on my side the patient..The thing is to be your own advocate list everything however small for me it was something so silly which raised the alarm bells and gave away the sneaky assed conditon I have good luck and all the best JJ

i agree with alot of what "JJ" wrote but sympathize with the other two posters.

If one more person tells me my physicasl illness, which ONLY I FEEL, is caused by stress, is psychosomatic or that I am a hypochandriac, someone is going to get a smack!!!!

You do have to be your own advocate and you do have to find that rare doc who is very empathitic and has heard of your symptoms and will test for his guess.

I have been battling an illness for 6.5 years with no or little help. At least this last female french canadian doc practicing down here tried more than other MDs. All tests negative. I am getting sicker every year so my time is n ot infinite and my quaslity of mlife is near zero. Too many MDs are incomptetent, apathetic and arrogant.

I will post my symptoms some day but I posted my illness on another group and i got TWO JUDGEMENTAL replies from some idiots telling me it is STRESS and psychosomatic!!! UNREAL!!

I truly have heard and read about so many poeoiple suffering for decades with illnesses that soooo many MDs missed until they get that "needle in a haystack" that "jokey" wrote about. One women suffered for FIFTY YEARS and was living off her credit cards and living with a friend when she finally got an md to diagnose her and treat her. Another female suffered with a genetic disease called T.R.A.P.S. (tumor neucrosis related .....peridodic syndrome) for 20 years! She had to find that one rare MD who had heard of that illness and tested her for it and BAM> they got a hit! Like the other female, no cure but treatment to feel better. This gal with TRAPS was in and out of hospitals and MDs offices with very high fevers, nausea and dehydration for TWENTY YEARS!! Sheesh!

I dont know how many times I shouted and the times I was offered anti-depressants and called a hypochondriac Im suprised I didnt smack someone but it got to a point of a sit in at the doctors...I did laugh my friend found this picture it was a mad woman in a village pulling her hair out she put an arrow pointing it was me..I so LMAO they nearly turned me crazy but someone did see the hell I was in and put a hand in and pulled me out..I remember when they confirmed what I had bizzare thing was I was so relieved I wasnt crazy I knew I had something that was serious ..I was angry at first but I realize my symptoms are like alot of conditons but why couldnt my knight in shinning armour have come in sooner lol..Its taken two years but Im doing good to what I was so please dont give up fight.
