I am having problems with my menstrual cycle. It comes very randomly (I probably have less than 5 periods a year) and they can last anywhere from 1 day to about 2 weeks. Sometimes I only bleed after urinating and it is only evident when I wipe. The color varies between pink to plum and even brown. I have painful stomach pains to the point where I double over and forget to breathe! I have been checked for endometriosis about 10yrs ago. I have to make a gyno appointment but it won’t be till January and I am in severe pain. Can anyone help? Does this happen to anyone else? I will be posting this in several groups. TIA

" I have no idea...Im sorry. I would call up my gyno, and let them know it was an emergency- they might be able to squeeze you in sooner. I hope you can feel better soon!! "

" Well, I have not had weird periods since I was a teenager, I was very active and I guess that can mess it up. I would get checked out for sure, and in the meanwhile I hope you can find some relief. I would try Midol or a warm water bottle on your tummy. "

" I remember back when I was 13, my best friend finally started getting her period (on her 13th birthday, none-the-less).
Anyways, her periods were about the same. Only one every 3 months or so, and when they came, they were over a week long.
She was seen by a few specialists, and nothing was wrong; it was just her body. I don't remember anything about her cramps though.
Its quite possible that its just your body.
I know she went on the pill just to control things, and its been fine since.
Most definitely still see a doctor, but I hope this maybe gives you some ease :) "
