I just want to thank everyone who has joined this group,so far. I hope we can all help each other out by providing easy recipes and ideas and tips for the kitchen. I am going to go through my recipes and choose as many as I can from my large collection of recipes and will post them a couple at a time. I've been unable to write in my journal lately. I have found a resource that I'm working with about healing my inner child. It seems to be the popular topic lately, too. It's been very helpful thus far, and I'm glad I've begun this work. It's amazing how badly I've been treating myself.

Truth is I didn't really think my poems were worth sharing but maybe they are. I wrote this one in early '07. It is dedicated to Fibromyalgia. Although, it could be written to any disease that has such an extreme effect on our lives.
Sometimes I cry, sometimes I yell

started cymbalta for my fibro pain. Plaquenil for my lupus symptoms. not sure what the normal dose of cymbalta is I am being started on 20 mg. daily. I have been able to cut down on my aleeve, and vicodin which is a blessing. The stomach pain has lessened as well. The plaquenil is being titrated starting with 200 mg. taking 1/2 tablet one time a day for l week, then 1/2 tablet 2... -

Yesterday, I did ok. I was somewhat sad and tired and discouraged.
I have begun to get to know my inner child. I look inside myself and see her, all vulnerable, and my heart goes out to her. This feels and sounds kind of weird, but, what if I become a split personality because I'm giving attention to another being inside me that is actually me? Well everyone in family is doing pretty good. Ralph is having good days and bad days. We spend time together. Nikki is feeling so so days. We got a 3d ultra sound of the baby and pictures are on my profile. We also got a video and its cute. Some may think I have never been down in the deep, dark pit of despair but I have been there more than once. So, about a year ago I wrote this poem. I have many dark poems and some dark songs I wrote, chorded, played and sung. I have been there.

As advanced as modern medicine is, there still exist many cases where doctors cannot pinpoint an exact cause for pain or other symptoms. Suffering with any illness is certainly difficult, but suffering with an illness that cannot be identified (and thus treated) can be especially difficult and trying for anyone.
