I have to go every 8 weeks first to the doc and then once a month to the pharmacy

that hasn't been established by my pysch yet...she's just told me that if i run out call her and she will give me more...

It depends more on how I am doing. But usually if things are going well I can go 3 to 4 months without having to go to my docs office. But because of medication change, I am going every 2 months at this point.
I hope you can workout something better with your doc soon. (((hugs)))

I am new to Daily Strength and joined a bunch of groups and then got shy...
Anyway, I have mental illness for a disability too. I have to see my psychiatrist every 2 weeks!
I am also trained as a therapist and used to do Social Security disability reviews! I know that the cure, yes cure, for agoraphobia or for any phobia is to have systematic desensitization. That means little by little in a systematic way you are exposed to the very thing that terrifies you. First just talking about it, then looking at still photos, then moving pictures then getting close physically then going right to it. So your psychiatrist or any good psychiatrist who knew you had agoraphobia would probably require the same thing from you as part of your ongoing treatment toward getting really well!

I have been in therapy and seeing a pdoc now for almost 15 years and I have come such a long, long way toward being well and able to go back to work.

Sometimes how often you see your psychiatrist depends on the type of meds you take. For instance, I have to see my psychiatrist every month because I'm on a controlled substance he can't write refills for.
