Hello everyone I just joined this forum a few minutes ago and I am very new to this whole thing. So I guess I can just say where I'm at right now. I'm a 21 year old music student in ohio. I've been smokin since I was 15. I have always been able to keep my smoking under control up until 2 years ago. I do enjoy smoking a lot. But as of late, I have been losing my self control and smoking all the time. I would like to try to continue, but I would not like to do it everyday. I know most of the reasons why things have gotten out of control, and so for right now, I am trying to stop completely. Taking an extended break is an ideal situation for me, but I have just lost most motivation.

" You are young and intelligent and I commend you for finding the strength to admit you have a problem. I would suggest counseling to get to the reasons why you are smoking so much. Good luck. "

" i am 20 and also started smoking at 15.

pot is fantastic, but it can make all the best things in life... crumble.

drugs are like a business telephone call: when you get the message, hang up the phone.

lastly, if you are already pretty deep into your habit, moderation is unadvisable. If you feel like weed is hindering your quality of life, it is probably best to give it up completely.

that said, if you quit, you are in for a surprisingly miserable few months.

on a more positive note... good luck with everything. "

" Some people can taper off and quit completely that way, others need to just go cold turkey and get it over with. You do sound as if you have tried the tapering off unsuccessfully, so I hope that going cold turkey and quitting completely works for you! "
