The definition of insanity is, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different response.
Go ahead and smoke again...and see if you go down a different path. I bet you don't and I only say that because I have been there. I'm on day 11 now...and I've not had that many days since Nov. My thoughts are much clearer, I am getting more done as I have more motivation and I don't have to worry about smelling like weed or being too stoned to do things if called on last minute. Only YOU can make the decision for yourself, but if you are questioning it...then I think you know the answer. Peace and be well.

Its totally up to YOU if your ready to make that change in your life...if your not ready then anything anyone posts on here for you will not help you. It has to be YOUR own decision, nobody can make that choice for you.I've been clean for 6 months, which is HUGE accomplishment for me after smoking for 24 yrs(at least). I put it in my head that I had to change my ways for MYSELF..and wow...am I ever glad I did!!!!! The change in me is amazing!!!!!!!

LIke Lynn wrote, you won't be able to quit until you want to quit. So, when you ask for advice, are you looking for reasons to quit, or advice on how to quit even if you don't want to quit? If you are looking for reasons via other people's stories, check out some of our journal entries. Check out my first few.
I only quit 5 days shy of 6 months ago, and wouldn't have been able to do so had I not realized - much in the way the Maat explained - that I was running in circles while expecting to arrive at a new location. Insanity. Become of prospector of truth and inspect where you are at, what you need to accomplish, and what tools you will need to accomplish your goals and to Be who can can Be. When or if weed gets in the way of your life, be aware of this time, and put an end to it. I advise constant introspection and evaluation. A warning: Weed and other drugs (including alcohol) can by quite sly, and can cause one to be dishonest with oneself during your self-inspection. I keep thinking that they are like silent thieves, especially the weed. They sneak in and eventually rob you of energy, time, goals, relationships, health, money, commitments, standards, oxygen, flexibility...and so much more. Actually, they don't really have to "sneak" in. Usually they are like guests that we invite into our home and later take up residency like stagnant couch potatoes and vampiric tumors. I know a few people that smoke very rarely. Most of my friends started our slowly and then built up to chronic abusers. But for my limited few moderate friends, for them it isn't such a big deal. Many weed addicts that are in denial say, "I can take it or leave it"...while all the way taking mass quantities of weed. They never leave it! I do know a few that can truly "leave" it, and do so by only smoking once every few months or so. If you find yourself using the weed as a reaction to everyday life, chances are you need to drop it as soon as possible. Some people just cannot smoke in moderation.

Trying to stay clean one day at a time works for me and it has been years now...
Forever is too overwhelmeing. Just for today I can handle, and making it a lifestyle is working.
