Hello all-
I was active in this support group back in Nov. Dec and part of Jan and I had quit for 2 1/2 months. Then life happened and I went right back to it. Today, I was on DS and one of my friends from the support group (they can identify themselves if they choose) IM'd me and long story short (friends, read my journal) we are quitting together, starting today. We believe we can do together what we couldn't do alone. My Name is K and I am a pothead, Stoner, addicted to Marijuana... however you say it...it's me. And I am looking forward to the clarity of mind that I once had. Posted on 06/18/09, 01:06 pm |

Day 13 and the clarity of mind is unbelievable. I have also had more energy (cleaned the bathroom 1st thing this am) and I love that I have no craving. It must be the Welbutrin, as I have even cut my cigarette smoking way down. Bought a pack on Thursday night and smoked the last one yesterday afternoon. WOO HOO.
Good luck to all of you as well.

It is great to read about the excitement of being a week, or two weeks off of the weed. After the initial sleeplessness or extra-nerviness or super cravings the clarity and the energy are so apparent.
It is great to read about it, as it serves to me to be a reminder about just what a downer of an existence it is to be without the clarity and the energy. Simple things like studying and thinking and feeling, return when off of the weed. I've been off of it for almost 6 months now. So the honeymoon phase with my regained identity has tapered. I do not ever want to take for granted the gifts of clarity and focus and energy. After this much time for me, my cravings aren't as obvious. Most often I don't even think about it. Yet, on a more subtle level I can see myself ever so slyly romanticizing again about the old numbing escape hatch and social crutch. Just at times, and just very subtly. This makes me resolve to not hit the F#ck it switch. So, again, thank you for sharing and for reminding me about why I am abstaining.
