I finally sough support when I had spent the last year of my addiction trying to quit on my own, and going months at a time between highs, a huge change from smoking from when I woke to when I slept for years. Though it didn't start out that way, it took years of recreational into heavy use. I got clean, then I got sober too, it took a while. Now I do it one day at a time, I'm clean and sober. Anyone else here?

It's a daily forum, not hourly or minutely like many of the others... It can take time to get responses in here. Im not in recovery- I still refuse to admit I have a problem. Im just addicted... so I hang out here.

I smoked 11 yrs. Quit for 3 yrs. and now starting back. I was so proud and looked down on friends who couldn't quit. What goes around comes around. SMILES
