My husband frequents RatDog, Bob Weir and Allman Brother concerts with friends at least 25 a year. I know he smokes marijuana while at these concerts. This most recent concert was in PA. He and a friend got busted in the parking lot for smoking marijuana. He was told he will get notified in the mail of his court date. I am a little scared and don't know what to expect. He has a prior criminal record as a kid that has been sealed. Just wondering if anyone know what we can expect. Should he plead guilty? We are so low on finances as it is and can't afford a lawyer. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and can give me some advice

" Well maybe you are worrying for nothing. I guess it depends on the state. I don't know! I just know that if it is causing you discomfort to deal with the consequences of his using, you can get help from Al Anon or Nar Anon. Good luck. "

" Ok, for 1, RatDog? Tell your husband that he is diluting good memories of Grateful Dead shows by going to see Bob Weir's band. Bob was great with soulful Jerry behind him, especially singing, "Cassidy", but no wonder he needs to get high in the parking lot. RatDog is pretty bad.
I think Steven Urkel probably has more soul than Bob Weir.

As per the bust: I always feel that honesty is the best policy.

If his childhood record was sealed, you don't have to worry about it.

Here is a paragraph on the PA marijuana laws and penalties:
Possession of 30 grams or less of marijuana is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a fine of up to $500. The penalties for possession of greater than 30 grams increase to a possible one year in prison and a fine up to $5,000

And here is the link where you can read more about it:

" Hi, I see that the link I copied isn't working - as it was the html version of a pdf.
Check out the top couple results here:
marijuana+charges+for+1st+offense&btnG=Search" title="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=PA+marijuana+charges+for+1st+offense&btnG=Search" target="_blank"> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en...

Also, usually when they say, "punishable up to...", they don't give the "up to" maximum fine. Especially in cool states, like PA.
Indiana or anywhere in the southwest, look out.

Either way, I do feel that honesty is the best policy, regardless of the repercussions. Lying to other's, even the law, just leads to lying to ourselves, and to our loved ones. That's how I feel. "
