Any advice??

I just went to the optometrist and had the test for Macular Degeneration which I failed twice. They acted surprised because I am young. They suggested I start eating foods to counteract the MD and when I get my next exam getting the test again to see if I am better or worse.
I am worried that food is not going to be enough. I don't really know much about this disease and am scared of losing my eyesight.
Can anyone give me some advice or information please??
Should I look into supplements too?
I looked up food that has lutein, beta carotene, omega 3's, there was another nutrient I can't remember what its called. But I made a list of food and am going to start including those foods in my every day diet.
But like I said what if its not enough and I get worse.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

" My retinologist told me to take Eye-Caps, and I have relatives who have been told to take Preservision. They are almost the same, lots of Vitamin E, but the Eye-Caps version that was recommended has its own multivitamins. "

" Foods are the answer. I could send you the "Natural Cure" for Macular Degeneration. NC cured my glaucoma in 3 weeks. It is safe and cheap. "

" I've had macular wet spots in both eyes. My Retinologist put me on Preservision which was designed specifically for Macular disease. I believe it has helped. It also cleared up s skin problem on my face I had for twenty years. Probably the Antioxidents in it.

Good luck,

Hammyhoney "

" I know it's really late for this advice, but I see that the doc you saw was an optometrist. If you have MD, you need to get to an opthamologist ASAP. At least get the diagnosis from someone who can actually help you. There are injections that can stop the MD, and, in some cases, improve sight. After getting a full work up on your condition, then, by all means, make the decision to use vitamins, or anything else you want. Just get the information...If my husband had known to go sooner, he probably would have at least vision he could read with...Go...Now... "
