How many of you have this? Do you treat it with anything? Why is it lighter one day and then gets so bad makeup won't cover it for days? Do you find certain soaps and lotions irritate it and make it get darker?

" Hi there gos...one thing that I found was that wearing makeup tended to make my rash worse especially if I went out in the sun while I was wearing the makeup...so it led me to think that I was having some sort of allergic reaction to the sun...then I tried not wearing the makeup while I was outdoors...interestingly enough the rash was way worse when I wore the makeup specifically foundation...therefore I quit wearing foundation altogether and no longer suffer from that rash...the culprit was the ingredients in the makeup were most likely having some sort of chemical reaction to the sun which in turn caused a rash/burn like thing on my face...check the ingredients list on a bottle of foundation...could be some nasty chemicals in your bottle...keep us posted!! " I had a bad rash 5 to 15 years ago. I found heat was a big problem as well as the sun. But heat was really bad too. I started using Anew All in One Max by Avon. It is the cheapest Anew they have and is not in every book. I can get it for about $12 on sale. I use it 2 x a day and my rash went away! Now, maybe it was the sunscreen in it, it was before I was diagnosed. But, It WORKED!.
Good luck!
Mary Ann "
