Avelox for Bartonella?

My doctor is putting me on Avelox for Bartonella. Not sure why now (after being treated for over a year for Lyme and Babesia).
I actually never knew I had Bartonella until just Tuesday, go figure. I am going back on biaxin/plaquenil (and Nystatin)first then will add Avelox so it will be a week or two before starting. I have experience with the former, and except for the metallic taste in my mouth, I did just fine. So wondering if any of you have experience with Avelox and could tell me what to expect. Thanks! How long have you had Lyme? My husband has just found out that he has Lyme (for well over a year) and Bartonella. He has started on the drug Cholestyramine and Amoxicillin. He was on Zithromax as well but it made it him too sick to work. We are heading to MD. in a couple of weeks to see a new Lyme Specialist. I know your question was in regard to Avelox, hope it was ok to email you.

Hi fldreamer!
I have had Lyme for over ten years, just diagnosed last year. I am unable to work right now because of fatigue, tremors/twitching. I did work up until this past February when I was in a bad car accident. Glad to hear your husband can still work. Why do you have to see a new Lyme doc?
