Hi all, i had some recent blood testing done to see how the lyme was affecting things and my throid t-3 is on the low side - though, gratefully, much of the rest was in normal ranges. My doc suggests going on a low dose of armour thyroid t-3 supplement, temporarily, until I heal more. Anyone have experience with a lyme thryoid?

Thanks - it's so hard to know what symptom is what, with the herxing and all. I'll wait it out a while and continue the thyroid supp. and get the follow up blood work in the near future.
hugs, CJ

Clairejean, Thanks for your post. It took a while for me to be
diagnosed as hypothyroid...(about 10 years actually) And I started taking Armour...60 mg /day in 2004. It made a huge difference. Several weeks ago, I went back to a compound pharmacy because there was a shortage of it at the regular store.. It's about 40 some dollars as compared to maybe 8.00 that I paid before. I rely on it so that was how it had to be. Which came first, the chronic fatigue, the thyroid? the lyme? I do not know...and I also take a script for adrenals...definitely have been affected. Good luck with it....RQ I also try to limit caffeine intake and I think avacados are supposed to be good for thyroid. Also don't take any calcium supplements in the morning...they're supposed to interfere with absorption...
