" I think it does. I have had many breathing problems flare up since about a month after I started getting neuro symptoms. I do know some were due to crazy heartburn I was getting ... but I do think that the Lyme has either caused me allergies to things I never had and therefore allergy-induced Asthma or that I have Babesia which causes shortness of breath... so many things.. ugh. Sorry hun. "

" I know it leaves your body open to many infections such as mycoplasma pneumonias or chlamydia pneumonia and any other issues. So lung issues - yes. Asthma not sure. "

" Sometimes different antibiotics, or antiviral medicines are needed for tick co-infections, Matty, such as mycoplasma pneumonia. Here's a link to Pamela Weintraub's book, Cure Unknown, with a page in which she addresses such things:

I hope that helps :) "

" Hi, Yes! Oh my goodess - I ended up in the ICU with near-death pulmonary embolisms last year. Ever since, my lungs have been verey problematic with episodes of bad coughing near every day - with a few good days inbetween. My doc can do nothing for it except give me an inhaler to use, which isn;t helpful. My lyme's healer believes the lung problem is lymes cysts in the lungs and we are working to heal it.

hugs, clairejean "
