CD57 results...am I cured?

Hi, I got my CD57 results back from my LLMD today. I scored 340 out of 360, which is really, really good. And I have been feeling fantastic for the last month - not a hint of a herx, all my strength is back, etc.

I'm curious what people think. Am I cured? Or is the Lyme just hiding? The LLMD thinks it may be. But I think they may have caught it early enough and I might just be cured.

What do you think?

(I wrote in gory detail about this in my journal entry for 7/1/09 if you want more info)

Thanks,
-FM

" Lyme inhibit the production CD57 cells. So the fact that yours is up is a good sign. Im not sure of anything else, like the levels of them while in cyst form or other. "

" That's wonderful, ForgotMath, that you're feeling so well!!!! Some LLMDs put stock in CD57 tests, and some don't. Although it's great that the test confirms how you feel, listening to your body is the most accurate gauge, it seems....Here's hoping for continued healing :) "

" I think it's a wonderful score!! From what I've been told by my LLMD, the CD-57 value doesn't go up slowly, a little at a time. What it does do, is stay low until the body gets the upper hand, then shoots way up.

So in my mind, your body has the upper hand and is fighting off the Lyme effectively. Hopefully, there's none left. BUT, if there is, your immune system is primed and ready to attack.

So glad you're feeling so good!!

" I too pray that your done with it and it isn't hiding. I heard that if you are symptom free for more than 2 months without being on any meds than they got it. Then again some say once you have it you always have it. Did you get the bullseye? It all depends on how earky you detected it and how quick you recieved treatment. Great news I wish you continued health. "

" Super news ForgotMath! I'm very glad you're feeling fine these days.

I'm not your doctor, but if you're concerned about hiding, maybe throw in some Cat's Claw or if your game, flagyl. The theory goes that these will bust any remaining cysts if there are any.

Three months of feeling well is the rule of thumb for Dr. B. Once you've reached that mark, you can stop meds according to him. Others doctors go longer, but without a test (apart from CD57) we aren't for certain how long treatment should go on.

Anyways, moreel is right. How you feel is the correct gauge. "

" I would go with how you feel. Sounds like you have it licked. I went with how I was feeling and started exercising regularly. That was two years ago and have felt excellent since. "

" Thank you all so much. I'm going to take my LLMD's silly detox/enzymes to make her happy but I value your feedback way more.

So...Do you think I should keep taking the abx (I have 5 more refills of them!) or see what happens if I stop?

Have a great 4th everyone,
-FM "

" My question to you would be...Why would you NOT follow the advice of an obviously good LLMD that has helped you so much towards your goal to wellness.

I know what it is like to want to be off all the meds...however I would really think twice about going against your LLMDs advice. IMO. "
