Has anyone had this test? What were your results?

Unlike other tests, results are unequivocal.

Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks,

FR

" Haven't had it, but have seen it in Lyme references. I heard the same thing, that it's a reliable test. I wonder why more of us haven't had it?? "

" I asked my doctor about it and was told it's expensive and that if I wanted it they'd have to refer me somewhere so I dropped it.

Wouldn't it be nice to know what we're dealing with after so many months of treatment? Are we infected still and if so how bad...etc. That way we could work on reducing symptoms somehow as opposed to fighting an infection that may or may not be active.

There is a new test on the horizon but the soonest it will be available is two years. I spoke with the patenting company and they said that's the soonest. I wish they would use me to test it on though!

Oh well. This test is so promising -- it will also show if the patient has Lupus, RA, or if cancer is in remission or has returned.

Good work these folks did! "

" It's amazing to me the strides that are being made. Wonderful progress. I know we'd all love for it to be done TODAY, of course we would. But given just how controversial Lyme has been in the past, the fact that brave people are bucking the system to find out mroe about this cruddy disease, is inspiring to me.

I talked to a guy at karate this week, who was on the Lyme vaccine way back when. He and his wife. Evidently, it's a series of shots, and the drug was pulled before they got the full series. I think he said they'd had 2 shots. Interesting, huh? "

" That's wild. I'm glad he only had two shots and is doing fine -- great if he's doing karate! Congrats to you both...

Someone posted here a while back who had the vaccine. She hasn't been back. Hope she's doing fine too.

It just won't be too soon for me if and when they come up with a means of determining we're back to normal AND of course simply cure it.

I have been googling PCR and am starting to think it's not alll that reliable based on what I'm finding. . . But maybe others who've had it done can share their thoughts and experiences. Although, I am thinking no one here has had it done.

There's peace of mind in knowing where you stand! Even if it's with Lyme -- knowing for sure what you're dealing with is power. Active or auto-immune. I just would like to know! "
