Here's another hug. We do understand. Some days are just like this. Okay, some WEEKS are like this, but your whole life will not be like this.

Boy Oh Boy do I understand that staement!!! This disease has put my shape to test. I have probably put on 25-30 lbs in the last year. I am at my heaviest I have ever been.
It is depressing and I hae to look at myself in the mirror. I joined curves and exercised fairly regulary 3-5 days a week. I mean I didn't over due it or anything and did this for 2 months straight and I had lost NOTHING! Well that was about 3 weeks ago I got weighed and I haven't been back since. I did loose inches in places but I need to loose weight. This Lyme has messed up my hormone system so bad I do not know if I will ever get back to normal. So I completely understand and right there with you, you are not alone!!!

Thank you everyone for your comments. Its helpful to know Im not alone. I contracted lyme right after my 3rd daughter was born (atleast I think thats when) and I put on almost 30 lbs right away...but of course I thought it was because I just had a baby...but the weird thing was I didnt gain hardly any wieght with my first pregnancy or after (and that was with TWINS) so I found it odd that I put on SOO MUCH WEIGHT.. I got up to 170 and im 5'5". I am now down to 140 which...(atleast according to my husband ISNT fat) lol....and I say according to my husband because...I dont feel the same way. I really would like to get down to 130...so 10 more lbs for me would be ideal :) I just want to FEEELLL good about myself. I want to feel pretty again.. I want to FEEL active and healthy...I want to feel the way I felt before babies and lyme :) I am very lucky to have a husband though that tells me I am beautiful all the time. What I would give to feel the same way.

Hi, I sure understand. Waiting for the healing can be so challenging!
I wondered about the weight-gain part, too - I've gained so much weight - but it's all around my abdomen. Despite mild excercise and a good clean mostly organic diet. Guess the hormones do cause it? Hope when healing happens, glands and hormones heal, too. Sending hugs, clairejean
