i was dianosed with lyme disease in July I had been having wierd symptoms the year before my test was positive. The test concluded that I was recently infected and put on doxicycline for 21 days. Day 19 on the antibiotic I had bladder issues for 4 weeks, went to urologist everygthing fine. Then the muscle weakness started, burning sensations in arms and legs, swallowing difficulty, legs and arms feel so heavy, extreme fatigue, and feel HORRIBLE. My stupid internist said none of my symmptoms were related, and gave me a hug and told me to go home. I was in tears, looking for help and answers and that is what I got. Please keep in mind I've been seeing this internist for 12 years and maybe have been in the office 4x beside regular physicals. Have not been the type of patient that runs in all the time. Please if anyone out there knows of a lyme literate doc, I would be so appreciative.

Hi Iris, There are people on here that can find you a LLMD. But I found mine on www.turnthecorner.org. I emailed them and asked them for LLMD in TN and I was emailed back the next day. Thank God he is only 45 min away and accepts my insurance. I was just diagnosed last Thursday. After 7 doctors of various specialties and many many tests...also negative ELSA and Western Blot. I went and saw the LLMD and he said I have a classic clinical case and was amazed that I wasn't diagnosed already. He is going to Congress to fight again for us!!! Good luck to you.
