From Quackwatch.com
"Rife Machines A quack electromagnetic frequency device from the 1930s also has been resurrected for use in treating Lyme disease.... These devices are based on the false notion that disease-causing agents and diseased tissues emit radio-like frequencies that can be detected and cured by matching their frequencies." There's a video out on youTube that purports to show lyme spirochetes being killed off by these frequencies. Believe me, it's a marketing ploy, false science and just a mean dirty way to make money. -FM

Yes. I know of several people. One of my old LLMD used alot of alternative treatments and that was one of them. I do know you have to diligebtly use it though. I had tried it a couple of times and I could really feel a difference in my leg pain. Like I said though you have to be faithfull and use it correctly. I know there is a support group for people usinsg it to treat Lyme. Brian Rosner has been healed by it and has written a couple of great books on the subject that you can get off of Amazon.com
I am sorry to disagree Forgot math but you have been mislead you should not believe everything you see on YOU _TUBE! If you go to the site of his (brian Rosner ) you will find hundreds of people who have tried this and it has worked for thme. I have tried alot and have been seen by alot of Doctors and this is studies from Germany who are years ahead in Lyme research from what the onedoctor who uses it says. He follows their studies and tries to bring it to America toi help us over hear. I 100% think that this and alot of other diseases includind cancer can be treated and put inot remission from this machine. You just have to be willing to go on a strict regime to do so. If I find out the name of the web_site I will PM it to you. Good luck.

I suggest you ask a high-school biology or physics teacher if this treatment is even remotely plausible.
If it were, don't you think it would have more of a following?

Forgot Math needs to get thier facts correct. You seem pretty arrogant thinking that you know this machine does nothing. I think you need to stop getting your medical info from you tube and school teachers. People like you making comments they know nothing about is what makes people leave this site and other groups like them.
If you do not have factual info then you need to keep your you tube facts to yourself. There is quite a bit of following for it if you knew what you were talking about you would know that!!!!

I think there are probably lots of alternative therapies for lots of illnesses that are overlooked and disputed because they are not mainstream and accepted by the medical profession. That does not necessarily mean they don't work. There are people in my local LD support group who use the Rife and swear that it is helping them. My bil did a lot of research on it, and he and my husband have talked about it quite a bit. They are engineers, and when you look at the body as a machine, it is at least in the realm of possibility. We just can't afford to buy one.
The reason I am not so sure that alternative therapies are all quackery is because I know a family who created a cancer tx. Long story short, the FDA camped out on their doorstep, threatened their lives and have made sure that they don't produce or distribute this tx. The kicker was that they tried to get the FDA to do the testing, and they also gave the stuff away (did not charge except for the cost of bottles and mailing). At one time studies were being done at Ford Hospital, with great results, but the FDA shut that down, too. If I did not know this family personally, I would not have believed this. The cancer industry is a billion dollar a year business, and that's what the Rife was originally invented to treat. The man who invented it died under mysterious circumstances. So, I don't have the definitive word on this, but I would advise you to do more research and see what you find. Good luck.
