Hello,
Has anyone been diagnosed of Lupus Profundus? It's a form of lupus that attacks your own fat cells. If so, please kindly let me know so I can share my experience/get your advice. I feel very alone since it is not very common. Thanks so much! Maggie. Posted on 11/03/09, 02:11 am |

Hi Maggie,
I have a question...You mentioned you have this and it causes lumps under the skin (which was discussed in a previous post). Are the lumps soft like a fatty tumor? I have one of these in my pubic area and my dermatologist said it is a fatty tumor but now I am wondering if it is lupus related. It is soft and does feel fatty. I never knew or heard about this before. It is getting bigger but doesnt hurt. What is the treatment for it? Thanks for any info. hugs

Hello, lupus profundus lesion was hard and heated. I think you probably have something called lipoma, in which case it's not as concerning. Tx is Plaquenil. Good luck

I had a lipoma in my groin area. need to be surgically removed. good luck. dr. said it was from an ingrown hair.
