I'd like to hear what others have heard as well. My kids will get the shot at school and I think I am going to get one as well. If I do not hear anything that bad about getting the shot. I did get the flu shot already.

II got the regular flu shot after questioning whats in it etc. In november the H1N1 will come out. I will again be asking questions and weighing up whether I will take it. hugs

My rheumy has told me to stay away from the vaccination.She does not trust this vaccine AT ALL.... She says maybe down the line when people have a clue what they are doing BUT for now I am not to be a guinea pig...I get a bad reaction from the normal flu vaccine. I am not going to take a chance with this one. I trust her completely.

mawgret, wow, I did not know it was experimental. Thank you so much for sharing. I thought it was just like the regular flu shot but just a different strand of flu.

I read that if the H1N1 flu had been around a few months sooner that there would be just the one flu shot.....meaning it would have been incorporated into the reg flu shot and anyone getting the shot every year would not have known the difference. That said i still am not sure what to do, but do wonder if it would be better to get it then to get sick. Now my rheumy said i should get.....do to the high risk of getting sick i would be better off with the shot.

I had an appt with my rheumy yesterday and advised he really wants me to get the h1n1. He stated the fact that I am immunosuppressed I would be at a huge risk if I do not get it. He clarified that the injection is safe for those of us immunosuppressed unlike the nasal spray.

This is a huge concern of mine.....My thoughts are to wait a month or so (in isolation) to see what types of reactions, if any, people are getting from the H1N1 vaccination. It has never been given before and the side effects are unknown. I am like Mawgret. I get an immuno reaction from the regular flu shot. My husband and son got the reg. flu shot. Toddler got a reaction for two days. I did not get the reg. flu vacc. I have heard from dr.s "Yes..you need to get this" and "No...stay away from it". I feel stuck. I am so immuno compromised that I just want my family to live in a bubble this season. None of us should get any live vaccinations. We should keep eachother posted about this topic (if we hear anything).

My doc has the vaccinations in. Very limited though. Im stil not on the priority list. If they even want to give it to me. We are probably better off taking our chances.

This is so confusing I wish I could put my family in a bubble for the next couple of months until someone could figure out how to get rid of this problem for everyone. I truly hope all of us lupies stay safe in the meantime.Xxx

im sle patient...and other health probs to..ive not discussed this with any doc so far........but having said that no one is touching me with vacanation.....as i personaly think....vacsanatons yrs back that i have had as a child.......me....has compromised my immuine sytstom....hence sle........and i would advise others no way whom there immune systom bad time will tell but for me no chance
