I am Dying

Well it is official, I am dying. My good news quickly turned to bad. My last scan and MRI and CATS plus blood work ups showed that I had some major abnormalities, so they brought in the head oncologist, Rheumy, Urologist, and Nero. They quickly had me sign and explained that I needed to have a spinal biopsy and needed to be put to sleep for it b/c they found several tumors they didnt catch before due to my spine and the disk in my bac k being so degenterated. I had been complaining that the pain in my body was getting worse especialy in my legs and back.
They held me there overnight and found that I had spinal cancer and rushed the rest of the test and called me and my husband in a few days later and was told that I also have cancer in my bones. We of course asked what the options were. There are a few but nothing that will prolong my life...the doctors all said it would probably take years off my life b/c I had to face the facts I was also fighting Lupus, MS, and have no immune system left. They can try me on some experimental drugs, which I have decided to take, but chemo would not do much good and the chances of me finding a marrow donor were very slim if my body would even take it b/c of the fact that I have multiple progressive diseases. All they can do is keep me comfortable and keep checking on me to see how I progress on the meds. No one can or will tell me how long I have b/c they really dont know. The hardest part was telling my kids. And Now telling you all. I will continue to be here till the end b/c I think this is the only place that helps keeps me going. I have made so many friends here. Truer Friends than I think I have ever had in my whole life. I dont know if I have ever done much right in my life but if I can come here and help any of you, I hope I can go home to heaven knowing that I made a little bit of a difference. Thank you all for allowing me to be apart of your life and group and I hope you all know most of you have touched me in a way that gave me faith back in most people. don't give up hope......the man upstairs has the last word and i beleive in miracles. i've seen the commercials for the cancer centers of america on tv. maybe you can check it out. don't take this wrong but what do you have to loose at the point. you fight with all you have and never give up. keep the faith, and vent all you want.

I am so sorry Sherry. The short time that I have been here, you have been such a blessing, so helpful. Know that your life, the length it has been and the time you have left, have touched many. I will be praying for you that if they were wrong about the good news, then perhaps they are wrong about the bad. I will pray for a miracle, because you are too young. I can't believe all the bad news you keep getting!!! You are a fighter and will continue to fight, I know this. I would love for you to get the book by Dr. Weil, "Spontaneous Healing." I think it may be very helpful for you to read his words. I have read this book several times, especially when I'm down and it always helps; even if only for a little. I wish you the very best.

Sherry, My heart breaks to read about your news. I will pray for you every day that you will find peace and comfort with your family and friends here. You are loved. Do not ever forget that, and please keep posting so we know how you are doing.
