I have been going to water aerobics for a month now, I go everyother day, I tried three in a row last week and am now having a flair. I love the water, there is no pain there, It might be worth a try, it seems to help my hips and joint pain

" I did water aerobics for about 1 year. The water is so forgiving and makes you feel like you can do so much. But, it's very easy to overdo it so be careful. I had to quit because I found the water to be too cold for me. Most places keep the water between 86 and 88 degrees. I really need about 91 and no hotter than 95. I opted for a very very large hottub that I keep in the garage (totally out of the sun). i keep the temperature at 91 degrees. It's large enough that I can lay across it and kick and work my arms. Not quite the same as a pool but it seems to work and it's warm enough that my joints and muscles don't freeze up on me. The hottub works weel for me too as chlorine bothers my skin but the bromalene doesn't seem to. Keep exercising! It's workth it! "

" We are very fortunate and have a pool (you need one in Perth!) but like "eyesonheaven" only hop in when the temp. is not too cold. My stepson bought us a pool blanket to keep the leaves off, but it acts as a thermal blanket and the water is a bit warmer in the evenings (the only time I can swim). I find exercising in the water is brilliant, kind of frees up the stiff joints and has a bit of an energising effect. "

" I've never tried water aerobics before, but I hear it's an excellent form of exercise for those who cannot do wieght-bearing exercises on the joints and bones. If you enjoy doing water aerobics and feel good afterwards, more power to you! :) "
